I live in New York City, which means that I share my apartment with pests, and pests are attracted to the dog food smell. Not only that but due to cramped quarters the dog food was in the bathroom, so my bathroom smelled like dog food. Enter the Vittles Vault - not only does it have a small footprint but it's got a nice airtight lid that makes my bathroom smell like a bathroom again (not sure if that's good or bad but it's better than smelling like dog food) - this vault is expensive but in my opinion worth it -

This is so well made, holds a lot, keeping food fresh, and intruders like raccoons unable to steal! Wish I had bought this long ago...it is very large, so you might consider if you want the smaller size, but either way, you will be very pleased.

great way to store dog food

What a great container for dog food. Easy to open and close. Square shape makes it easy to get to the back when container is almost empty. Caution. It states that it holds 40#...that is just barely. It you have a 41# bag it wouldn't hold it all. Don't plan on stuffing a 50# bag into it. Otherwise I love these containers.

After having several different pet food storage containers over the years I finally came across this one. This is a great one! The one I had previously the dogs could open and then the chickens would also get in there and I could never keep food. With the Vittle Vault that problem is no more. It locks securely to keep animals out and freshness in. Highly recommend it!
